On our “recent” trip to Venice I learned a few very important lessons. We had never been to Venice before and it is now probably one of my favourite cities. It is almost impossible to take a bad photo there (though I managed). I took 3 fully charged batteries for my Canon 5D and felt confident that even with my trigger happiness that would be enough.
It probably would have been but for the fact that I kept forgetting to switch the camera off!! First lesson learnt. Second lesson: Take your battery charger. It is not like it is going to take you over your weight limit. Here are a couple of images from the trip. Third lesson is when you are on a moving boat set a high shutter speed. I think I was so gobsmacked by the Beaty of Venice that even the most basic of photography skills went out the window.By the end of the week I hope to have a new gallery on the website with more images of Venice including Murano and Burano.
So on our final day I used my iPhone 12 Pro. I’ve got to say I am really impressed with the camera on the phone
